Robust management tools to empower busy contractors

Background

Kelly Services sought to create an all-in-one digital tool to serve their base of over 8,000 contractors. Contractors needed an easy way to report their work hours while managing several projects simultaneously. Secondary requests included job search, resume management, messaging and notifications. The tool was designed for mobile on iOS and Android. I led the UI exploration and prototyping, and set up a design system to support future initiatives.

Goals

Explore a fresh look and feel for the UI, diverging from the preexisting Kelly brand identity.

Target the user group of contractors managing several assignments. Focus on promoting worker efficiency and clarity.

Create a working prototype of the application to secure buy-in from key stakeholders within the Kelly Services team.

Job search

Assignment information

Review critical project information like holiday schedule, job site alerts, upcoming events, and time remaining on each contract.

Time entry

Log daily time worked and breaks taken for each assignment. View weekly, monthly and yearly workload in a clear overview with actionable steps for increasing efficiency and healthy work balance.
